Ah, a painting! I tried to give this picture a relaxed and warm feeling, and I guess it turned out ok. You might recognize this guy and his two cats, Catamount (black) and Grimalkin (brown) (names found by the great ), as characters I'm addicted to drawing atm : ).
Full view! Characters are copyright me. Media: watercolours, indian ink.
The kitties are so cute! *Ahem* (I'm a sucker for cats, pardon me. )
I like how you managed to evoke "warmth" -- of course, using warm colors such as yellows and reds; and washing them down -- thus having pink and pale yellow -- give the cool, relaxing feeling.
I think it's just me, but the dropping things Grimalkin's chasing, and the flow of colors near the bottom of the picture gives a "lazy" feeling, like, "Ahh... at least them cats are having fun...".
All in all, a very beautiful work!
