I think I should explain myself for this strange submission... but I hope you like it, and please full view!! :w00t:

Orpheus is a figure from Greek mythology. He charmed Hades in order to free his wife Eurydice from Hell.

This is a school project :D. We got to pick a hero from Greek mythology and make a costume representing him. I chose to make a mask, which seemed easy at first but turned out challenging and really annoying because of the idea I had to make the lyre (out of thick cardboard... and many layers at that :faint:). But it was fun trying something new, though there are obvious improvements that can be made. The mask itself took me a while but I'm fairly pleased with the final (not so finished) result.
Take a closer look at the mask: I represented animals (a leopard, a deer, a blurred elephant on the photo), musical notes for his music, flowers and leaves for nature, tears for sadness (as Orpheus lost his wife in Hell) and mountains where he was buried after his death. Lots of symbols here!

Ahem - we were supposed to take a photo of our costume in a setting: I picked a tree, as Orpheus was close to nature, and tried to get some sunlight shining through the leaves (but failed, as I usually do at photography :dead:).

Media: pencils, black pens, tons of cardboard, acrylics, watercolours, gouache, feathers, string, felt, all sorts of glue.
